{Delicatessen with love} by Gabriele Galimberti
Hacía ya tiempo que no publicaba por aquí alguno de los proyectos fotográficos que voy encontrando (podeis ver los ya publicados aquí). Hoy os presento el proyecto de Gabriele Galimberti, un fotógrafo italiano que durante su último viaje de 18 meses alrededor del mundo, entre otros, llevo a cabo este proyecto titulado “Delicatessen with love”.
It’s been a long time since I last published any of those photography project I found in internet (you can check the rest of them here). Today I present you this project of the italian photographer Gabriele Galimberti, who carried out this “Delicatessen with love” project during his last world trip in 18 months.
Un homenaje visual a las abuelas del mundo y su amor por la buena cocina, por los platos de toda la vida, esos que siempre pedimos cuando volvemos a casa o que recordamos desde nuestra infancia. Esas abuelas a las que tanto les preocupa lo que sus nietos comen por esos mundos de dios. Esas abuelas que, como la mía, no te miraban con buenos ojos si no te acababas tu bocata de chorizo para merendar y que siempre tenían tu plato preferido preparado para cuando llegases de visita.
A visual homage to all grannies around the world and their love for cooking, for traditional recipes, which we always ask for when we come back home or those which we remember from our childhood. Those grannies, who are worried about what their grandchildren eat when they are abroad. Those grannies, like mine, who didn’t like at all when you couldn’t finish your sandwich and who always had prepared your favourite dish when you visited her.

Aparte de la idea del proyecto, me gusta mucho el formato de díptico que el autor ha dado a las fotos así como la combinación de retrato y still-life. El resto de fotos del proyecto lo podéis ver aquí.
