Côte d’Azur : Antibes + Nice
Una de las mejores cosas de vivir en Suiza, un país pequeñito, es que tienes realmente cerca otros países para visitar. Con un vuelo cortito o después de algunas horas de tren puedes estar en Alemania, Italia o Francia.
One of the best things of living in Switzerland, a relatively small country, is the fact that you are close to many other countries. Just with a short flight or after some ours in a train you can be in Germany, Italy or France.
La semana pasada disfrutamos de un gran finde en la Costa Azul, una zona que hasta ahora no había podido visitar. Después de haber oído tantas cosas buenas sobre ella, era ya una asignatura pendiente. A pesar del tiempo que tuvimos ese fin de semana, peor de lo que esperábamos para esas alturas de la primavera, nos encantaron los dos sitios que pudimos visitar: Antibes y Niza. Largos paseos, comida rica y olor a mar.
A week ago we spend a great weekend in the Côte d ‘Azur, a place I hadn’t visited yet. After hearing so many good things about this area I definitely wanted to go there. Despite of the weather, which was not what we expected for spring time in the coast, we really enjoyed Antibes and Nice. We took long walks, having great food and feeling again the salty air.
Tanto Niza como Antibes son lugares geniales para hacer fotos. Aunque fuesen días lluviosos la luz era una maravilla. Con detalles turquesas y azules que llamaban mi atención en cada esquina.
Both Nice and Antibes are great places for taking photos. Even on those rainy days the light was beautiful. Turquoise and light blue details catch your eyes intermediately.
Antibes es una pequeña ciudad cercana a Niza con calles estrechas y un carácter muy provenzal. Aunque las calles principales del casco antiguo estén normalmente llenas de turistas, basta con salir de ellas para poder explorar otros rincones casi en solitario.
Antibes is a small city close to Nice with narrow streets and Provençal character. Although the main streets in the old centre can be a bit crowded, the side street are almost empty, perfect for exploring them on your own.

Antibes está situado a pocos kilómetros de Niza, a donde se puede llegar fácilmente con transporte público. De Niza me encantó sobre todo su casco antíguo, lleno de cafés, tiendas preciosas y mercados, la “Promenade des Anglais” y la vista desde el “Montée du Chateau”.
Antibes is just few kilometres away from Nice and you can easily get there with public transport. I loved from Nice its old town, full of small coffee shops, nice shops and street markets, the “Promenade des Anglais” and the view from the top of the “Montée du Chateau”.
Como veis, visita corta pero intensa. Con muchas ganas que me he quedado de seguir conociendo mas rincones de la Costa Azul. No hay excusa, no está tan lejos ;).
A short visit but truly intense. I definitely want to visit some other places along the Côte d’Azur. There is no excuse, it’s not that far away ;).
