Retratos y sombras – Portraits and shadows

Aunque ya hablé en este post de lo importante que es evitar las luces fuertes en los rostros en la fotografía de retrato, en ocasiones las sombras añaden un toque interesante dibujando sobre la piel nuevas texturas y formas.

Although I already talked in this post about how important is to avoid strong or direct sunlight doing portraits, sometimes the resulting shadows add a interesting effect adding forms and textures.

¿Y qué podemos usar para crear estas sombras? Pues por ejemplo, cortinas de encaje.

And how can we «create» this shadows? For example, embroidery curtains.

Plantas y flores dispuestos a contraluz.

Plants and flowers against a backlight.

O iluminando sólo aquellas partes del cuerpo que queramos resaltar.

Or just lighting up those parts of the body we want to highlight.

Yo ya sé donde conseguir las telas de encaje, sólo me falta el sol.

I already know where to get some embroidery fabrics, I only must wait for the sun.
