Gracias 2013 — Thank you 2013

Se acerca el fin del año y esta vez no le veo el sentido a hacer una lista de propósitos como las que he escrito en otras ocasiones. 2013 ha sido un año extraño, que empezó sin demasiadas expectativas y se ha convertido en el año del cambio, del giro.

2013 is almost over and for this time, I think it doesn’t make a lot of sense to write down a new list of purposes for next year. 2013 has been kind of weird for me, it started without any expectations and became a year of change.

Hace años depositaba mis recuerdos en diarios y cuadernos, y aunque ahora sigo escribiendo de vez en cuando, no llega a ser como antes. Quizás porque mi vida es más pausada o porque no necesito tanto mirar atrás. Pero hoy quiero hacerlo de nuevo, quiero volver a mirar atrás y recordar algunos de los momentos que me han regalado estos últimos 12 meses. Hoy quiero agradecer sin saber muy bien a quién, quiero dejar constancia de lo bueno que ha sido este año y poner un punto y seguido hasta 2014.

Years ago I used to store my thoughts in diaries and notebooks. Even though I still write occasionally, it’s really not the same. Maybe it’s because my life became quieter or maybe I just don’t need so often to look backwards in the past. But today I really want to look back to the last 12 months and remember some of the great moments I lived during 2013. This time I want to thank (without knowing exactly to whom). I really want to make a record of all those great things I lived and got before we are deep in 2014.

Porque esto no se acaba aquí desde luego. Mis circunstancias personales seguro van a cambiar, mi tiempo libre puede disminuir. Pero si algo me ha enseñado el haber alimentado este blog durante el último año, es que me aporta más de lo que sospechaba y que es una fuente inagotable de sorpresas.

This is not an end. Although my personal situation will change and my free time will be reduced, what I learned in the last month writing in this blog is that it is a wellspring of surprises and learning.

Enero

Después de unas maravillosas semanas en México, donde disfruté de lo lindo y pude hacer muchas muchas fotos, tocaba volver a la realidad diaria, pero eso sí, con nuevos proyectos profesionales. En el blog compartí algunas de las fotos que pude tomar durante esas semanas de Diciembre y seguí con la sección de {All my Blogging}, la cual sigue tomando forma después de algunos meses.

January

After our holidays in Mexico, where we had a great time and I took LOTS of photos, it was time to come back to our everyday, but with a new professional project. I shared with you some of the pics I took during those weeks , and additionally I wrote new posts for the section {All my Blogging} , which is still taking shape.

Febrero

Todavía recordando nuestros últimos días por México, pero disfrutando también de ese largo invierno que nos regaló paisajes nevados de ensueño. Me apunto para el próximo año hacer más {Making of}. Se aprende mucho con ellos y además, por los comentarios que habeis dejado, parece que os son de utilidad, así que mejor que mejor.

En Febrero pude también volver a Copenhague para recordar mis tiempos como estudiante Erasmus por esas tierras, y como no, hacer fotos ;).

February

February was kind of a mix: still thinking about our last days in Mexico, but also enjoying some great winter snowy landscapes back home. Next year I’ll try to publish more {Making of} posts. I learned a lot preparing them and I know they are useful for some of you, as I could read in your comments.

Apart from that, in February I spent a short weekend in Copenhagen remembering my year in Denmark as Erasmus student, and of course, taking photos of that beautiful city ;).

Marzo

En Marzo llegó mi nueva cámara y creo que no tardé ni un día en sacarla de paseo. Os enseñaba aquí las fotos que estuve haciendo por casa y el edificio donde vivimos para empezar a acostumbrarme a su peso, los nuevo botoncitos y todas esas funciones que aún hoy no controlo al 100%.

En el mes de Marzo empecé a redactar también en inglés los post que he ido publicando. Reconozco que al principio me daba mucha pereza, pero con el paso de las semanas la cosa ha ido mejorando. Cierto es que tengo que invertir más tiempo en escribir cada post, que algunos se convierten en pequeñas novelas con párrafos en inglés y en español, pero de momento creo que voy a seguir con ello. Tengo pensado un post recopilatorio sobre la experiencia para el próximo mes de Marzo, resumiento pros y contra, para aquell@s que esteis pensando hacer algo parecido en vuestro blog.

March

In March I got my new camera (yeahh!!) and I show you here some of the first photos I took just in our place and around, to get used to its weight, to some of the new functionalities and all those new buttons.

In March I also started writing in English. At the beginning it took me ages to translate each post (I also was kind of lazy about it :P) but after some weeks it became easier and easier. May be my solution (paragraphs in Spanish and English within the same post) is not the best one, but I’m happy with the result anyway.

Abril

Y en Abril por fin llegó la primavera. Después de un larguísimo invierno que parecía eterno y que todavía nos acompaño hasta bien entrado el mes de Mayo. Y qué mejor que una escapadita por la Costa Azul para olvidarnos de la nieve.

April

In April we finally enjoyed some spring days after an endless winter, which “stayed” with us until May :(. We decided to celebrate the end of snow and ice with a short trip to Côte d’Azur.

Mayo

En Mayo tuve la oportunidad de hacer un pequeño reportaje fotográfico que me ayudó a salir un poco de esa zona de confort fotográfica en la que de vez en cuando nos quedamos tan agustito. Un tema distinto pero con un resultado del que estoy orgullosa. No hay nada como ver que tus fotos son parte de un proyecto personal lleno de ilusión.

May

In May I made a photo shooting which really helped me to leave my “photography” conform zone. Something different, which result I loved. There is nothing like your photos being part of a personal project full of illusion.

Junio

Y en Junio tocaba bodorrio. A parte de pasármelo en grande, ese fin de semana pude hacer muchas muchas fotos. Lo mejor de todo: que a los novios le gusto el resultado y que yo aprendí mucho con la experiencia.

June

Wedding time: apart from having a great time during that weekend, I took a loooot of photos. And best of all: the couple loved the result  and I learned a lot.

Julio – Agosto

Por fin vacaciones, por fin tiempo libre, tiempo para compartir con la familia y celebrar que en pocos meses uno más se uniría al clan :). Aunque el blog se quedó un poco parado durante el veranito, por aquí os dejé algunos rincones con encanto de la ciudad donde vivo, por si algún día os dejais caer por aquí ;).

July – August

Finally holidays, finally free time, time to share with my family and to celebrate together the arrival of the new family member. Although I left the blog a bit aside during these moths, I shared with you a list of lovely spots in the city where I live.

Septiembre

Septiembre: la vuelta a la normalidad. Ya pensando en el otoño que se dejaba entrever en los bosques y los parques.

En Septiembre decidí empezar con algunos post más “técnicos” que os pudiesen ayudar a aquell@s que, como yo, tuvieseis un blog en WordPress. Aunque son post un poco trabajosos creo que vale la pena echarles un poco de tiempo, para que aquellos que necesiteis por ejemplo, incluir un boton “Pin it” sobre vuestras fotos o añadir un botón de Bloglovin para que sigan vuestro blog, podais tener una guía sencillita con los pasos a seguir. De este tipo de post seguro cae alguno más durante el año que viene, no hay nada como tener que resolver un problema “técnico” por uno mismo para encontrar una solución que a muchos otro@s les puede ser de utilidad.

Back to everyday, back to normality, thinking about the autumn, which was already glimpsing in parks and forests around the city.

In September I started a new series of technical posts about WordPress, for those of you who need to add a “Pin it” hover button to your photos or include a Bloglovin button.

Octubre

Y sería el cambio de estación, el frío, las hormonas o que se yo. La cosa es que durante algunas semanas no conseguía centrarme en nada. Y por lo que vi en los comentarios, no era la única afectada por ese desenfoque otoñal.

Maybe it was the change of season, the cold, my hormones or I don’t know what, but during this month I was not able to be concentrate at all, completely out of focus. And from what I read in your comments I was not the only one ;).

Noviembre – Diciembre

Meses ya de preparativos y de cuenta atrás. Como el tiempo no ha acompañado mucho, la fotografía “indoor” ha sido la protagonista: primero con algunos consejos para hacer fotos de proyectos DIY y una mini sesión de autorretratos con barrigota.

November – Dezember

Months of preparations and countdown. With the cold weather normal during these months, “indoor” photography has been central in the blog during these last weeks of the year: with some photography tips for your DIY and a selfie session.

Me gustaría daros las gracias a tod@s los que os pasais por aquí de vez en cuando, dejando o no comentarios. O respondiendo alguna de mis preguntas en Twitter. O compartiendo alguna de mis fotos en Pinterest o en vuestros blog. Como comentaba al principio del post, este pequeño espacio me ha permitido aprender mucho y conocer gente super interesante, que aunque lejos, sé que están ahí ;) siguiendo de alguna manera mis pasos.

Para tod@s, espero que el 2014 esté lleno de sorpresas y momentazos inolvidables, y que sean 12 meses cargados de nuevos proyectos e ilusiones.
